Sesto – a dream for every skier
Sesto is a real dream for every skier, situated in the heart of the Dolomites, UNESCO natural World Heritage site. And the big new of this winter season: 77 km of pistes can be used with only one skipass.
This because the ski area Comelico is now connected with the Ski-Carosello Sexnter Dolomiten – Alta Pusteria. And very great too: directly from the Berghotel you arrive at the ski slopes of the Monte Elmo, without using your car!

On 05th June 2010 we reopen the Berghotel with a lot of energy and enthusiasm for the summer season.
The novelties of this summer are the guided mountain bike tours accompanied by real professionals, that round up our activity programme of guided hikes.
If you feel like enjoying the mountains, fresh air, pure water, far away from noise and stress, if you want to find rest and make sports, eat delicious food and enjoy life, we recommend you the Berghotel.
We would be delighted to hear from you, and to be allowed to lead you through our Dolomites this summer.

Happy Birthday – the Berghotel gets 40!
Incredible – the Berghotel is now 40 years old.
On the 18th May 1970 the Berghotel opened the first time. In the mean time has been changed a lot of things. From the rooms to the reception, from the restaurant to the Wellness area – nothing has been spared.
Here now some impressions from the past:
2nd Sextner Gaudi week from 13/03 until 20/03/2010
The whole week music, dance and enjoyment in the refuges, restaurants and bars of Sexten/ Sesto…!
Giant slalom of the musicians on the Croda Rossa and concert “Original 4 Tiroler Buam” in the Congress Hall of Sesto!
The Dolomites a UNESCO Natural Heritage!
In Sevilla, Spain, on June 26, 2009 the UNESCO has, on their annual meeting, declared the Dolomites as a Natural World Heritage. So the Dolomites now officially belong to the most beautiful mountains in the world. Majestic peaks, sweeping landscapes and geological and botanical peculiarities make them a worldwide unique artwork made by nature. Also famous people like the “King of the Eight-thousanders” says: “The Dolomites are not the highest mountains in the world, but they are the most beautiful”. To ski in the Dolomites is now even more an exclusive privilege, that you can’t enjoy anywhere else in the world. With Dolomiti Superski enthusiasts can ski from valley to valley, on 1.200 km of sunny slopes in 12 ski areas, right in a UNESCO Natural Heritage. Take a ride with the cablecar to the Sass Pordoi (2.950 m), the Lagazuoi (2.800 m) or the Marmolada (3.342 m) and enjoy the extraordinary beauty of this winter-landscape. Every evening the “pale mountains” dress their peaks in fiery red, turning to dark violet. A colour show called “Enrosadira”, which due to the special qualities of the dolomitic rocks can be seen only in these mountains.
