The highlights during winter season in Alta Pusteria
Also this winter the Alta Pusteria valley is scene of big events. So, from the 18th to the 19th of December 2010 in San Candido in program the FIS Skicross World Cup with exciting skiing competitions.
The Cross country skiing world cup – Tour de Ski is for the 2nd time in Dobbiaco, beginning of January 2011. A unique adventure you never will forget – when you participate to the Dolomiti Balloonfestival and very interesting to see also the snow sculptures during the International Snow Festival in San Candido. Not to forget the international cross country events: the Pustertaler Ski-Marathon, which has the arrival of the classic race in Sesto, and the Cross-country ski race Dobbiaco-Cortina.

Gustav Mahler Music Weeks
The Gustav Mahler Music Weeks take place from 10th July until the beginning of August 2010 at Dobbiaco – since 1981: A music festival with international ambitions in the heart of the Dolomites, where Gustav Mahler used to spend his summer holidays. A part of the tradition of Gustav Mahler and his work, a place where Mahler’s music, science, and discography 
get together.

Dolomiti Superbike 2010
The 16th edition of the Südtirol Dolomiti Superbike takes place on 09 until to 11 July 2010. As usual, the participants can choose between 2 courses: the short course of 56,9 km and the long course of 119,9 km.

Adventurous trips on the Helm at sunrise
There are magic moments when the first sunrays illumine the surrounding mountain peaks. In the early morning you take the panorama cable car and after a 2 hours walking tour you hardly wait around the romantic campfire for the streaming sunlight. Following you can enjoy breakfast in the typical “Stuben” on the Helmrestaurant. For friends of activity holidays the Berghotel Tirol in Sesto / Sexten offers special Active Weeks.
Guided hiking tour to the Sorapis Sea
On 08.15 a.m. we went with our hiking bus to the Passo Tre Croci. From there the hiking tour starts to the Vandelli hut (Nr. 215). From the Vandelli hut we went to the Sorapis Sea and there we had a break. We went back to the starting point.

Alta Pusteria International Choir Festival 23/06-26/06/2010
The “Alta Pusteria International Choir Festival” is a non competitive musical event which takes places in Val Pusteria. For the extraordinary variety of the venues and the wide performed repertoire it is one of the most spectacular European choral music events.
It takes place once a year during the last week of June.

Sesto, a pardise for mountain bike
In Sesto / Dolomites the fans of mountain bike find a lot of rides, for families and for professionals. A real challenge is the “Stoneman-Trail”, a route in the Dolomites, which starts in Sesto and which is signed by stone-men. At 4 stamping places you can collect the stamps and decide whether to continue or whether to stop the tour. The Berghotel in Sesto / Dolomites offers you a bike week with 2 guided tours, which is possible to extend up to 5 tours. The week includes also massages too relax and guided hiking tours – an ideal program for every friend of bicycle.
